Let's say you have a hot product that is selling like crazy online.

And let's say you have decided to ramp up sales by getting as many affiliates on board as possible. What's the best way to make that happen quickly? Well you have three basic options and they're both worth looking into.

Affiliate Internet Program

Option #1 - You can go online and research the websites getting the most traffic for your top keywords. Doing a simple Alexa search, for instance, will uncover hundreds of websites getting tons of traffic. Then you can contact each of those website owners and ask them to become an affiliate. While this is one way to do it, the obvious drawback is having to spend the time to find the right websites .

Option #2 - You can manually search the top affiliate networks (like Commission Junction and Linkshare) and join those networks as a publisher. This is a better idea because you can now tap into networks with thousands of affiliates ready to find a hot offer to promote. You do have to go through an approval process before your offer is accepted but it's worth the time and effort.

Option #3 - You can pay an "affiliate announcement" service to promote your offer to hundreds and even thousands of affiliate internet programs. Such services do cost a few hundred dollars but if you have a good offer can help you land in very active programs teeming with experienced affiliates.

Of course, there's a fourth option. That is go to the top Internet marketing seminars and events and "buddy-up" with the big dogs of Internet marketing. One good relationship you develop there can result in you getting into their network. And that can mean top affiliates with huge lists promoting your offer.

Whichever option you choose, it probably makes sense to test all of them out and see which work out for you. Then make a decision based on actual results you can bank on.
